Partial Dentures
A partial denture is an ideal appliance to restore several missing teeth while allowing you to keep and maintain your remaining healthy teeth.
Your partial will anchor to your healthy teeth with metal or plastic clasps while it supports prosthetic teeth strategically placed to fill the gaps in your smile. Dr. Yang designs your prosthetic teeth to blend seamlessly with your smile so no one will notice your partial denture. You'll also enjoy normal chewing function with your partial.
Traditional Full Dentures
Traditional complete dentures are removable appliances made of acrylic that Dr. Yang designs to mimic your natural smile closely. Your appliance relies on suction, a snug fit, and occasionally
adhesives, to stay in place. A removable denture may take some time for patients to get used to chewing and eating with them; however, patients appreciate the fact that a complete denture immediately rebuilds your facial structure and allows you to chew confidently and efficiently again.
Implant Dentures
We can also use dental implants to support a full or partial denture. In the case of complete dentures, a trusted oral surgeon will place two to six dental implants (depending on your needs) that securely hold a denture in place.
Dental implants eliminate the learning curve that patients sometimes have with traditional removable dentures while getting used to eating and chewing with them. They regain confidence when they don't worry about their teeth moving or slipping out of place while eating, talking, or laughing.
Implants also provide the added benefit of maintaining the health of your jawbone and preventing the deterioration that occurs with wearing a removable denture. This means better longevity for your implant denture.
